I think your idea of adding felt sounds good but will felt melt if a hot item touches it?
Very cute, love the idea on prequilted fabric. Thank you for sharing and amitiés de France.
Are these pre-made potholders? If so what did you do on the back side?
Yes, they are pre-made potholders. I plan on attaching a plain piece of felt on the back of each potholder covering the entire backside sewing on the bias tape.
In t have really the food industry when you start with one product, add to it to make something new it is called value added. I think you have hit a home run with these and can invision lots of Christmas hostess gifts for this year!!thanks for expirmenting and sharing your results.
Thank you very much! I practice by making things for myself and then in the future make them as gifts for others.
Very beautiful potholders . I like the colors you've chosen.
Thank you. I used some old clothes for the acorn potholder and the left side of the leaf.
Very cute set for the fall. They look great on the quilted pot holders. --Sharon
Thank you. I was nervous at first using the pre quilted potholders but thought I have nothing to lose. If it doesn't work out I would just stitch something else and tack it down on top.
Excellent job Maria, I love the quilted pot holders as well as your great designs. Love Chris
Nicely done - great time saving idea of using already made pot holders,
leaves more time for embroidery l0l :)
Thank you. Yes I agree. Pre-made is the way to go. I feel as though my brain is flooded with embroidery ideas always thinking what is next on the list. :-)
They are very pretty and well made, love them!
Hugs, Lidia
Really cute. You did a great job. I think the app. is just fine on the pre-quilted pot holders. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. I'm probably like many of the cuties here, I'm a very tactile person so there is a soft quilt feeling through the applique.
They make a wonderful set. You did a great job, and the designs are perfect for fall.
Nicely done, lovely colors
Thank you. I wasn't sure about the fabric colors I chose, but it seemed to work out. I used whatever fabric I had on hand. Some fabric is from old clothes and some were given to me. I don't throw out anything I could use.
