Carolyn--these are really nice---Felt and large--don't understand why you used Fray Check though--and was it cut-a-way or tear-a-way stabilizer used? They sure turned out pretty--I am going to have to keep an envelope in my purse with all the notes to self!!!
i did it on the end of a couple letter that fell in the crack like the end of the N it might come apart i also glued it lol
I understand now--wasn't considering all the open spots and the embroidery threads. Thanks for info--was going to stop and look for these yesterday but ran out of time again.
Those leaves are fabulous! I like your idea of putting peoples' names on them. If you want the names to stay on, I think I'd use something other than Fray Check. It is somewhat like a glue in that it hardens the threads that it is put on so they don't ravel. However, the spot you put it on does get hard and it changes the color too. So you'd have to put it all over the entire letters, otherwise you'd have spotted letters. There are better/cheaper things to use to permanently stick things together.
These look great Carolyn, you have done a lovely job. Nice and bright. Sandra.
Very nice place mats. Could be Adam and Eve costumes.
It is a sympathetic project, well done. Amitiés de France et bonne journée.
Great job! They were gone at my Dollar Tree store. I plan to go back and check for the Christmas ones to come in. Kay
Saw these and considered doing the same as you have done. Wish now I had when I look at yours/ Lillian
Your leaves look nice. I haven't seen them before.
