That surprises me a bit - I have had no issues and I have made lots of fobs (with more to come after it gets back from its cleaning - I took it for the regular cleaning not because I had any issues). I use an 80/12 universal needle, cut-away stablizer, and I did not change my tension at all.
You might need to move up to a 90/14 needle for marine vinyl if you are having problems...I am having a hard time accepting that marine vinyl is the problem...too many other Cuties are using it for key fobs and so are designers selling key fob designs...it will be interesting to see what he says when you talk to him again...
I am wondering if maybe the needles are not strong enough to be making key fobs & this is why I am having this problem but I am worried to try any more just in case................
Hmmm, if key fobs were the problem...how did they deduce that they were the problem...what did they tell you about them being the problem...marine vinyl...design...stabilizer, thread, needle...not sure how they can know that key fobs were the problem....seems strange to me that they could contribute any problems to "key fobs" without giving you some explanation as to why they were the problem...makes me wonder about your dealer...I would want more of an explanation...
what he said was that it was too thick & it was chewing up my bobbin case? I had this happen once before right after I made 2 with Marine Vinyl but this time I was working on the Fall Pumpkin towel. He said whatever I was doing @ the time was too thick for the machine? Hubs picked it up for me & I have tried to call him but have yet heard back anything
