Just returned from my 2nd Gamma Knife brain surgery. It went well. Surgery Monday, rest Tuesday. Home Wednesday (about 400 miles). Tired and slept in but feel great today. If any of you have a condition called Essential Tremor that is what I was treated for. Most non troubling treatment for anything in my life.

I brought 10 packets home, 3 pre-spoken for, of information. This procedure been used over 20 years and is available all over the country.

I can now thread my machine with my left hand again.

Excellent video explaining Gamma Knife on below link.

Google Gamma Knife and your state to see if one close to you.

I asked my doctor what ages they have treated for a lady in my church. He told us people in their 80's and 90's. I bring her good news.

Thank you for posting about this as I have ET as well. It can be very frustrating when putting eye makeup on. Also, when measuring and moving ingredients from point a to b. Sometimes I have to hold right wrist with left hand to keep from shaking things like salt, etc. all over the counter. I didn't realize there was treatment for it. My Dr. has only offered low dose blood pressure med for it which I can't tell that it helps much.
Wishing you success with your recent treatment! Hugs, Millie

I too have ET mainly in my right side that always starts with the hand on the right side and weakness in the legs, always starts with the right toe dragging, but can effect my whole body if my body thinks I am over doing it. Anyway over these years between the 4 brain, head, neck surgeries due to the onset of my Chiari symptoms that started after a car accident in 97 and my cranial cervical fusion following a second accident 2005 (sure wish people would stop running into me) Any way... I have learned a trick that I hope may help you or anyone who reads this and knows anyone with this condition. Hope it works for some of you or others it may help. I have been told this will not work on the Parkinson tremor though. If the tremor is going and I need to sign a check or eat peas without wearing those peas, if I tap my foot or toe like when we were in music class, my tremor stops. The tremor starts right back up when I stop tapping my foot, but gives me a short break when I need my hand to function. My condition also effects my comprehension, short term memory etc so I can not just always tap my toe when my body is tremoring-or in full shakes as if I am freezing cold, as then I seem to have a great deal of trouble hearing or understanding things being said as it takes my whole concentration just to tap the toe which leaves everyone else sounding like the "Peanuts" parents. WA waaa wa wa.. Hope this may help you too. Keep hanging in there and do all that you can, to fight for as much quality of life that you are able to get. Pam

I brought back 10 information packets to share this wonderful non cutting procedure with. My limitations first day were do not drive, bend over or lift. Resume my normal life following day. Do not know how previous injuries affect use of this Gamma Knife process. Will be happy to mail packet to those who want one.

I am so glad for you. Happy you can thread the needle again. It is amazing how many things we take for granted and only realize when the capability is taken away how much we depend on them.
