This is such sad news, Theresa - the difficulty of not being able to be with her right now is especially hard. You both are in my prayers!!
I always wanted a sister (I have 4 brothers) so, your description of how close you two are is so very touching. Get a bunch of stamps and send her a written note every day, write about something she did for you while you were growing up. Send her a joke to put a smile on her face - I know you can call her but there is nothing like letters in the mail. Lots of prayers to you and your sister! Hugs and love, Laura*
Thank you Laura for the wonderful idea and the Prayers. I came from a family of 7 children. I lost 1 sister last year from the effects of chemo due to Breast Cancer. It killed her liver. She was only 64. God Bless
prayers going out to both your sister and you. god bless.
I feel your heartache, in your beautiful description of your relationship, with your sister. I sense your circle of love for each other. I pray for strength, for both of you, as you both face the unknown. I ask for peace and comfort, to weather this storm in your lives. You ask for prayer, so I am trusting this knowledge of our dear Lord and Savior was also taught to you, by her and that she is saved. Knowing this will bring you great peace. My heart aches for your desire to be with her in person. I pray a way will open up for you to be by her side, not just in spirit. I would love to send an angel, but I haven't had any luck with the FSL. I'm sorry for all your heartache. In Christian Love-Toogie
Toogie your such a dear.Thank you so very much. I am going to send you a p.m. God Bless you
Theresa...this is such sad news. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers...I would be very happy to send her an angel especially since your machine is down for the time being...if you would like me to, send me a PM with her address...Hugs and Prayers for you both...Kim
Praying for miracles for both of you! Your sister sounds like an earthly angel. May you both be blessed with all you stand in need of at this time.
My elder sister also taught me all things to do with the home. She is still the one I turn to in time of crisis and need. She also leans on me now too.
rescuer, Thank you for the prayers. And yes she is an earthly Angel. She was my 2nd mom.
God Bless
My heart aches for you. You so well described loving sisters. I belong to two angel groups online. If you belong to one, I will be looking for your request. If not, and you would give your or her address, I will send an angel right away. I am praying for both of you, Joan
This is so sad but she must be a very strong lady and she is never alone if she has Jesus in her heart. Will pray for you both Carolyn
Theresa, I am so sorry. I feel your anxiety over not being able to visit her. You sound exactly like my little sister. She spent the first weekend I was married with me and my very new husband! LOL
I will pray for her and for you. I will pray that a way will open up for you to go put your arms around her, as I do realize how much you both need that.
Most of us claim our learning and our heritage from our parents. What a blessing that she has taught you so much and made your life so full. I know you are dumbstruck at the thought of losing her. I was 1,100 miles from my sister and very poor when she went through her cancer. I felt helpless, so I organized prayer chains. Every detail and need my family shared over the phone, I translated to the prayer chain. It was such a comfort to me and gave a sense of power and helping. She has survived more than 20 years and moved on with her health returned. I pray that God will bless you both in some way through this trial.
Theresa, I am grateful Crafter will be helping you out with an angel until you get your machine back. Grateful you were able to talk with her on the phone tonight. If you both have a laptop with a camera you can also skype which has a basic service which is free, that works like a phone call but you can see each other through your computer screen. If you both had full sized computers you would each need a web cam to be able to skype I know when our daughter and grandson were living 800 miles away, we were able to continue to see them daily. It may be a way that you could feel closer, than with only a phone call. Just being able to see the facial expressions while a person talks, or to see them as we often can read the expressions which can tell us more than words how the person is doing. Hope this may be an option for you. I will most definitely pray for your sister and her doctors that they will be inspired on how to best help her, and prayers for you also as your desire to be with her during this time is obvious. I can feel your heart ache and I hurt for you that you are unable to be there with her. May you each feel comfort from our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ as you are all going through this difficult trial. Pam
This is such very sad news. Even though you are far away, you are on the other end of a phone to speak to your sister as often as needed. My thoughts re with you both. Hugs Sarah
We will keep both of you in our hearts and sending healing thought her way.
My thoughts are with you & I know what it's like to be so far away from your family
Irene
Dear Theresa.I will pray for your sister. Being so far away is always upsetting and one feels helpless. Since your machine isn't working yet I would love to send a angel. Send me a PM with the address if you would like for me to do that.
So sorry to read this sad news Theresa. I do hope that a miracle will occur and also that you may somehow get to go and see her. Love, prayer and blessings. Love Chris
Prayers for you and your whole family. God please heal her and guide doctors who are caring for her.
