It has been pointed out to me that I was rude to Stella with my answer. I certainly did not mean to be rude and I truly offer my apology to Stella. It was 2007 and the program was called "SewIconz". I am not sure if it was free or if I paid $20. The reason I did not care for it was that if overrode my Art 3 or Art 4 version that I had at that time. I hope this explains my answer. Kay
I didn't see your post as rude but an attempt to be funny. I do hope other's were not offended by it. Thank you for your explanation. It is so hard to convey feelings in the written word.
Kay, many of the programs will "take control" of the embroidery designs. That control can be "given back" but one must know how to do that.
SewIconz did not take over my machine when I installed it -- but then they have done many updates to their program since 2007. However, other thumbnail viewers really messed up my machine. Personal preference I guess.
I have no clue about this as mine came with my software but some good reminders here Stella, hopefully one is what your looking for. ~hugs~
I wonder if you mean the one from Sands Computing, but cost a small amount. Not free
If our dear Duchess did purchase it -- the software could be reloaded for free. Just contact the company listed in the link I offered here.
Wilcom is the one I have, it is easy to use and you can do a few things with it..... it doesn't have the thumb nail pic.... or atleast I haven't run across them, but I like it a lot. Mechille :)
Amazing Designs has their Edit Express Lite that is free. You have to open it and search to see the designs though.
There is also Wilcox and I think wingsxp still has a free viewer. It has been awhile since I have used them but those are the downloads on my computer.
I had one years ago, but I uninstalled it as i did not like it Perhaps someone will goggle your memory!
Dearest Katy, I did not read your reply as rude. I just blame myself as I always have not only bookmarked my sites I download from but I also keep a written record. Alas this was not the case with the "thumbnail" free trial software. Don't worry I was not in the least upset. I do however want to Thank everyone that has answered my request. Stella
Was it embroiderymodder? Or something like that? You have to open the program to see your designs? I use Embrilliance Thumbnailer and the images are visible immediately from download.
I use SewIconz a stand-alone product. I like it becuase it does not crash or freeze my computer as some of the others have done.It is not free but $25 (I think)
There is more info at the link.
