Hello Cuties! I have been MIA on everything for awhile. Went on vacation and came back to electrical problems. Lightening had hit our neighborhood, taking out areas of our house. We are in the process of finding and fixing all of them. I lost my computer UPS system, fried the batteries and boiled them dry, one cracked and oozed everywhere inside the case ( have it elevated on a piece of wood so no floor damage.) The lightening also took out my backup hard drive; killed a stereo speaker amp; a fan in my CPU. But it left the most important items alone. Will have the electric company out to check over things hopefully this week. My frig, freezer, washer, dryer, etc all appear to be unaffected. We are having the time of our lives with this little project! Life is such a fun little adventure. It could have been much worse.

Now that this has been said... My prayers for everyone have been on going. Birthday wishes to each and everyone who has had them. The few projects I've seen are beautiful! I'm so proud of Miss Vicki and Carolyn for betting me to the zipper bags. lol!!! If my machines will start and stitch I'll try to give them a go this week. Take care, hugs to everyone. Leaha

That's was Mr. Toad's wild Ride! I'm thankful that your home didn't catch on fire and that most of your things were O.K. I hope you can recover what you have lost.

Mr. Toad may take his wild ride elsewhere! lol. Yes we were lucky on the fire issue. That would have been something to be upset about, to come home to NO house! No thank you! It's only stuff and can replaced if not I didn't need it...right? Thank yo

I guess the reason I'm not too shook about this is it's the 3rd time it's happened. We lost the freezer and refrigerator compressor the first time. Thanks :)

I know it will be alright. Hopefully the electric company will be out sometime this week. I'm sort of afraid to turn the machines on. Thanks Miss Dragonflyer, I have snowballs to make! :)

Sorry you has so much trouble. Is any of this covered on your home owners insurance? I remember when I updated my deductible to lower my cost the next thing is to replace my roof because of hail storm damage. It is always a no win situation. Perhaps this should be a warning to us to unplug a bunch before we go on vacation. Kay

Haven't got to the insurance part yet! Yikes...we were just flabbergasted at the items and ways in which they were affected. I'll add that call to my list! Thanks, Miss Kay.

Oh dear Leaha. This must have been depressing. Hopefully you will get everything back and running smoothly again soon.

It's concerning, but not depressing as everything can and will be fixed or replaced in short order. The poor people in the hurricane and flooding are in much worse shape than we are. God Bless them first and foremost. Thank you

So good to hear from you Leaha!! I am so sorry for your "adventure". We had a similar thing happen to us - but with a leak - ugh! It took me 8 months to have the repairs done and go through the insurance. Oh, well, it all worked out and some things are even better than they were. So hopefully, you will find the same! Loads of luck and hugs to you, Laura*

Hi Miss Chris, thank you. There isn't anything broken so far that can't be repaired or replaced. God was good we at least still have a house and home. My heart goes out to the people in South Carolina after the flooding and hurricane. hugs.
