There is a yahoo group called SewItsForSale and they are a very active group that I have often seen featherweights listed along with just about any sewing supply you had ever seen and even those you had no idea even that they even existed- They do monitor to be sure copyright regulations are adhered to. You can scan through the group files to get the information on how to use their site. If you get the new listing in digest form it will not be so overwhelming in your mail in box. It may be worth joining and watching a couple weeks to see how things are done, many things seem to move very quickly. I do think that some people are using the site to buy low and then resell on sites like ebay, which is not unusual but just do not want you to undervalue your items due to people messaging for lower pricing. Be sure to check the pricing you see on places like ebay and compare to your own machine. Hope you find a site to sell your items. Hope maybe this is the site you had lost track of that you mentioned. Good Luck, Pam
If you have a quilt store near you I would ask them if they think any of their customers would be interested in the Featherweight. (I wouldn't mention the fabric tho) Perhaps they even have a bulletin board that your could post an ad on.. There are always quilters looking for a Featherweight.
I think not allowed on Cute. Some of the Embroidery Yahoo groups have listings.
You might want to google 'featherweight' and see if any websites pop up. There use to be lots just for the Singer featherweights and they had a place for everything. it might also get you the best price. If you were wanting to list it here on cute, I wouldn't know about that.
Thanks, I used to belong to a website that you could buy and sell sewing items but when we changed cable carriers I lost my old contact list??
I checked the sites I had and they have since either been sold or acquired by others...not sure about them now. Sorry.
Pattern Review has a 'Classifieds' area. Skeldale House has a 'for sale' area - I don't know how she is doing it since she eliminated Yahoo, but I've written to her with questions so I would write to her. You can also check the American Sewing Guild site to see if they have a for sale area. I don't quilt but I know quilters love that machine, maybe there is a site where quilters sell items? Ebay seems to have a lot of sewing equipment and the ads may help you with what to include in your ad....
Good Luck, jane
I thought about this a while. I usually trade my old machine in for a newer one. Craigs List?......but one never knows who will show up. Local paper? Other then that I have no good ideas.
