A good reminder to follow when we set the clocks back we replace all the batteries in all the smoke detectors @ the same time......................a good habit to get into

A life saving reminder for those especially with alarms that run on only batteries- In many areas they now require alarms to be hard wired and have a back up battery in case of power outages.

It is such a shame that we do not do this in S. Africa. Our summer evenings are so beautiful, it would be nice to have another hour in the light. I remember as a child living in England and my grandmother so often forgetting to 'do' the clocks as she called it..

I always love moving the clocks back in the fall as I would try to use that extra hour by continuing to get up at my regular time so I would then have that extra hour whether to have extra time to clean, study or focus on a hobby prior to getting to work, or getting the kids up for the day. I use to struggle getting places on time and seemed to always be 5 minutes late so focused for a couple years focusing on being early with this method and finally was able to break myself of that bad habit. I would always underestimate just how much time things would take or account for the delays that can often happen. It was an eye opener for me when someone told me that by continually being late it was actually me thinking that my time was more valuable than anyone else's time, there by making others wait for me until I would finally arrive.- Made me break that bad habit, and quick too. Hope everyone can find a way to make use of the extra hour that will help you the most in your own lives. Pam

Down-under we've had Daylight Saving since 4th October - the sun is setting around 7.18pm tonight. I'm sure there will be lots of little trick or treaters out this evening. Love Chris

When you forget to turn the clock back you won't be late, you will be an hour early.
We set the clock back last Sunday. It turns dark so early now...

Just to be clear, you turn them back at 2 am on Sunday morning, Nov. 1.
I always turn them back before I go to bed, so all is good in the morning.

I turn them back early in the day and love with it all day! That way, when it gets to bedtime, I'm ready to fall asleep.
