I tried some knotted fringe on burlap, I like how it turned out.

I would never have thought of this! Wonderful idea, I have to spend so much time down in bed and this would be something I could actually do, though I would definitely put a cloth down first so all the fibers would not end up in bed with me. Think I will have someone pick some Thanksgiving colors up for me and see what I can get done. Did you create something with the pulled strings? I am thinking maybe tassels or napkin rings , any other ideas as there will be quite a pile of pulled threads. I could also do a wide braid or use a coordinating color of burlap pulled threads and zig zag over them to create a design on the table cloth. Looking forward to what other cuties will think of. This red is really beautiful. Thank you for posting.

They make great tassels also when my door curtain end up to short I (not sure how that happened) used some of the strings as ties along the top.

Fabulous result. It's usually such a casual fabric, but this looks absolutely heirloom!

not hard to do just takes some time. And it is real pretty with some embroidery on it.

I like it, too. This is labor intensive, but well worth the effort.

It is beautiful. Reminds me of when we used to macrame. Love the red burlap!
