I've had this "bee in my bonnet" for a while and finally found time to see it through.

The base is an artists canvas. I made 10 Suffolk Puffs (aka YoYos) and arranged them in a triangle. I measured this and digitised the simple shape to applique on the background with the message. This was stretched over the canvas and stapled in place.

Next, I made 10 holes through both the puffs and the canvas to thread battery operated led lights through from the back. They have a blob of hot glue on the back and front (under the puff.) I also glued the battery box to the back of the canvas.

The lights are sets of ten from the Pound shop.

Yo-yos have been around since time immemorial and I love them anyway they are used. I love the one with the lights. Wonderful way to use scraps. That almost has to be why yoyos were created to use up scraps. Great job Sue. Makes me proud to see old things used with new /Lillian

Now that is such a clever idea. I could see someone hanging it on a wall in an apartment. Where it was too small to have a tree.

You sure do come up with some unusual but useful ideas.

Very well thought out and executed. Looks like it stitched out nicely on Painter's canvas. I do love it.

The stitching isn't on the canvas, it is on normal fabric.

Very effective Sue like this a lot. It brought back memories as many moons ago my Mother in Law made the children a Pouffe covered in puffs.
