I think they are so precious. The ones they are intended for will only see the love. We tend to be our worse critics. By the way enlarged the picture couldn't see what you were talking about.
Beautiful job and you have given me an idea for our family Christmas dinner.
They look great. As others have suggested, I think fray chk is the way to go/Lillian
These are adorable! What a great idea for place holders. Embrace the raggy ends... that's kinda stylish these days (think burlap!)
This is a great idea for place names! I think I'd just put a little Fray Check on the ends of the ribbons and not bother with embroidering them.
They all look lovely - I would be happy to have one so I would know where to sit. Love them :)
You have done a wonderful job on these place settings Gill. I love them, love Chris
They look good from Canada and i love the one for me:):)Carolyn
First thing I thought - Carolyn is coming to dinner at Gill's. These are really nice and everyone will have a memento - or you will for another year's dinner.
I agree with 1ladyb below. You may have to place a scrap of tear away underneath,as you will be sewing the edge. They are so pretty. Maybe the next one you do try on your regular sewing machine to do a tight zizag before you trim the edge off. They really are cute and I know how hard you worked.
They are really cute and just fine. You did a good job!!!

Use a zig zag stitch in the same color as the area where the name is, that should do the trick. Use a stitch about the same size as the satin stitch above and below the name field. They are really cute.
