Thanks for a new lesson and new knowledge added to my brain Sue. I found the sticky notes I could use on this windows 8 that has given me so much trouble. It's easier to write on a sticky note than look for pen and pad and then forget where I put the pad, now I can have it right at my fingertips/Lillian
Lillian,I put my notes for computer reminders on bits of paper that I then put on my laptop keyboard before I close the top down. Just thought doesn't work on a regular keyboard. Oops! :-)
Thank you for sharing this. I can't tell you what an asset this will be to me. :)
thanks sue, got it, this is real nifty, I love stick it notes they are all over the place here , reminding me of things , now I can have them all over my screen, :), Trish
.....just wish I could make it smaller...takes up soooo much room on the desktop!
I didn't know that - mine was always the size of a post-it note. I've now made it a bit bigger.
Welllllll holy moly!! That's great...........thanks for telling us about it!!
Your so smart. I found the sticky notes but can't get the thing to change color . When I right click nothing happens. Also, I can't write on it.
You need to have your cursor in the box. Left click to type and right click to change colour.
dang, you lost me, but i will read it again. I use fire fox browser. You know that I am challenged on computers and need all the help I can get. Kay
I do not believe this is part of any browser, it is an accessory to windows. It should be accessed through your start button at the lower left hand corner of your computer screen. Hugs, Barba
Thankyou of posting. I have been using stickies for a while, but did not know about the colour change option.
Very clever and very useful. I did not know that it existed. Thanks.
Thank you, how fun is that!!! I did have to click on "all programs" before looking for accessories...
Thank-you it works great for me hugs and many many thanks:):)Carolyn
Thanks never knew it existed. Your directions were good found it straight away.
Sticky notes and snipping tool are available in Windows 10. Click on start, click on all apps, scroll down and click on windows accessories. They are in the drop down menu. Have fun! Hugs, Barba
Thanks - I haven't needed to actually search on Windows 10. My sticky notes and snipping tool were both still in the task bar when I upgraded.
I use windows 8.1 and can't find it... I have the snipping tool - fast and easy.
in 8.1 go on the arrow to the apps,it is in accessories just click the picture...wendy
Problems was I could not find accesories amongst the usual tiles, had to change to the alphabetically arranged list and then it was a piece of cake.
Thanks! I needed that information, now I can clean my desk! ?

Thanks Sue, especially for the customized color tip. I keep a sticky note up with my hoop sizes on my new-ish machine, trying to learn them, and always needing to check against designs.
I'm one of the Cuties saying thanks. I have Windows 7 and found it with no trouble thanks to you. I've written down the steps so I can add this to my limited list of things I can do.
I'm sure that a lot of Cuties will thank you for making their lives easier. Well, done!
Hasn't shown up yet is it on windows8
It is on Windows 8, but you may have to type Sticky Notes into the search box at the bottom of the Start menu.
Many thanks for this, I typed in the search box and it appeared. It will be fun to use and cut down on all the hand written notes that litter my table. G
