Winter comes to the South. Going to be a hard freeze tomorrow night, so today's chore is to finish loading the greenhouse and close it up tight! Knee still not recovered, so this will be interesting. I have so enjoyed the last of my red angel wing begonias and airplane plants. We got two weeks past the "earliest frost date", so I should be grateful!

Today we woke to see there had been a freeze overnight. When I went out earlier I spotted a man out who never wears shoes.. Chilly to look at him and odd as the rest of him was dressed for a cold day. Hope the plants are OK

Went to 29 but it must have been very brief. The red herbal plant is blooming better than ever, somehow.

Brrr, Thank goodness for a greenhouse. I hope everything fit in and will stay cozy during the freeze. I hope your knee didn't complain too much.

We've had a sudden change in the weather here in England as well. We were still picking roses last week, but now we have gale force winds and freezing temperatures. There is also snow about although I haven't seen any yet.
Look after that knee!

Stood in one flower bed when greenhouse was loaded and looked at my pink daisy mums (looks like a pink blanket) one last time. It will be mush in the morning. Sat at my machine most of the rest of the day stitching, easier on the knee. This is the doc visit this week when he was sure the swelling would be gone - HA!
