I was snooping around Missouri Star Quilt Co tutorials at the weekend and came across something she calls reverse applique, she made it look so simple I had to give it a try, well this is the results, very simple to do and not as fiddly as first thought, I need to trim them a bit more, but happy with the results for a first attempt. My hubby has already claimed the Shamrock one as his. Thanks for taking time to look

They look nice. Used to do this on sweatshirts, just cutting strips of the top sweatshirt material to let the background peek through.

They are great looking pillows.It is a great feeling when hubby puts claim to a project and I can see why he did.
Reverse applique also had sounded strange to me until I made one of the mug rugs from which had incorporated that technique.
