What a great birthday present and it looks as if your family knew what would make a good gift for you. I hope you have many happy years sewing together
Wonderful gift, Happy Birthday and many happy sewing hours!!!
Lillian this is wonderful & I am very happy for you. I hope that you have many years of enjoyment stitching creatively on this new machine ~hugs~
So happy you have received a wonderful birthday gift from your loving family and a material stash to boot!! Now both machines will be going and this new machine will be so much easier for you to sew with, than how you have been managing up until now. If any of your old machines are the old heavy duty metal gear machines, I would recommend keeping one for when you are sewing heavy work jeans or if making a rag edge quilt that you have 8 or 12 fabric layers that you are stitching over. Even with my emb/sewing machine I still turn to my 1950's singer 401 when I am doing those types of projects. I too will join everyone in doing a happy dance, for and with you, as it will make your sewing so much easier for you and lots of fancy stitches will be a big bonus too! Since you have sewed for years it will probably not take you too long to figure out all the bells and whistles to this machine and what is still confusing, then likely someone here will be able to help out or you would also likely find videos on you tube to help guide you. Don't forget as a new purchase there would also likely be a free class as needed to help accustom you to your new machine. Hope you find it easy to learn about your new machine and once again, Happy Birthday, Enjoy!! Pam
Well Pam I did exactly that I kept an old workhorse of a Kenmore for the heavy sewing and told my sn n law to bring the other 2 when we went to pick this up , another old Kenmore and another not quite as old Brothers Pacemaker Dealer took $100.00 off the ne
