katydid around here they call it a Cahaba lilly because it's found n the wild along the cahaba river, or so my botanist G. son tells me. I think they r beautiful. *4U

What ever, another bloom opened today. I just looked it up "H.caroliniana"(southern spider lily)per the Southern Living Garden Book. I wish I had a botanist son, I only have a sister want to be Botanist.
