Welcome to the Cute family and congrats on your new Baby. Babylocks are great machines. Pes is the common format to use. My recommendation to you is to get to know your machine first by using the designs in it. That is how I started. If you got software with your machine, please load it into your computer first and foremost. I tend to DL designs onto a thumb drive, then transfer them to the software where I organize the designs. I use another thumb drive to bring the design I want to the machine. I try not to use this thumb drive connecting to the internet so it doesn't get corrupted. There should be a USB port on the side of the Ellure to plug the thumb drive into when the machine is on. Bring up the design you want, thread the machine and enjoy stitching. Please don't hesitate to ask questions if you need more info. You can also Private Message me or anyone else by clicking on the small red circle next to the word Inbox near the top left of your screen.
Welcome to Cute. I will add to the info already posted--if you want to see images of your downloaded designs, Embrilliance Thumbnailer will work with Mac as well as Windows. There are others, but this is my fave. I've used it for several years and love it. I have a Babylock Ellageo. I think the Babylocks and Brothers use .dst as well as .pes, but I always choose the .pes format. You may want a free software for changing formats for those rare occasions when the design doesn't come in .pes.. There's a new world opening for you!

Great advice from rescuer down the list, but I suggest you also read through the Q^A section here to find out how this site works so that you can get the best out of it!
Welcome to the wonderful world of machine embroidery. Cute is a great place for free designs, bought designs, consolation, support, and lots of helpful advice about stitching. Come often! Did you notice the sister sites across the bottom of the page?
Hi and welcome to Cute. I see you have your answer, PES. When you download a file, unzip it if necessary, they copy the PES file to your USB and put it in your machine. I have pc at home and MAC at work. You are on a great website. Smokey from East coast USA

Hi and big welcome to Cute!! I see you have gotten your answer so just poppin in to say Hi!! You will love it here...
Good morning from Australia. You should be able to use PES. I've put up a page with different machines and their formats, but I'm sure someone who has one will come along shortly and tell you if you can use other formats.
Love and blessings Chris, Newcastle, Australia
PS. It wouldn't let me load the webpage. Go to Google and type in " Which format does my machine use" and a page comes up with all sorts of machine formats for all types of Embroidery machines. I've done a print screen save instead so you can see.
Welcome to Cute!
Your machine takes the file type PES (it might also take the PEC).
If you are just beginning -- I suggest you make file folders to place your designs in once downloaded. Otherwise you could become lost trying to find the design you know you have -- someplace.
Read through the post in the Q&A section to better understand how to navigate this site. There are also tips and hints for downloading.
If you wish to download a free design here -- just click on the design picture and then select your file type and the file will download.
Your default browser settings will decide what to do with the file. Most send the file to the "Download" folder on a PC.
We do have some Mac users here to help you with Mac and design questions.
