Seams many of us are facing difficulties this Christmas, no exception here. Took hubs into hospital on Sunday since he was in terrible pain. Dr.'s there told him after a 5 hour wait that they believed it was tendentious above his knee cap. Gave him Percacets & Naproxen. One for pain one for inflammation. He finally slept Sunday night. However he went to his family doctor & he said NO NOT tendentious BUT THAT HE HAS A TORN CARTILAGE. We have no idea how this has happened but the meds prescribed he is not to use. He is terrible pain & once again can barely walk, he can't sit or lye down comfortably. He is to go in today for physio & is scheduled to get an MRI in the New Year but in the meantime Advil is all he can take (Dr.'s orders) so he will stay in pain? I ask for your prayers that they can fix this cartilage without surgery if that's possible so he can be pain free.

Oh dear, glad it was caught before more damage took place. Holidays are bad time to get the medical help needed, everyone wants to be home on Christmas. Keep him off of it as much as possible until something can be done. He's in my prayers now and you also. God bless/Lillian

Oh! my dear Loralye, I know how he feels. Albeit his is in his knee and mine is in my derriere! I ask for prayers whilst having my MRI and I actually fell asleep - apparently people rarely do. So when your husband needs his MRI please ask us to pray for him. The sound reminded me of a cement mixer but with bricks tumbling around inside it. I had to be in there for an hour! I'm glad they found out the correct diagnosis too and that he is on the pain killers that will agree with his body. I'm on Nurofen as I can't take anything heavier. I pray that he can be fixed without surgery. Love Chris

Oh my, what a horrible Christmas present! I am glad that they diagnosed him correctly before more harm was done.

My prayers are with you both.

I hope you have a very Blessed Christmas and that his pain gets better very soon.

And I will pray that everything can be fixed without an operation.

May God grant you strength through this difficult period.

Best Wishes
Anneliese

The Advil will have a better effect after he has had several doses. I think it has to overcome the swelling. See if you can borrow a TINS unit from someone with chronic pain. Very soothing.

Oh my, you are so right about so many Cuties having difficulties, and now you and your hubby have been added o the list. I'm so sorry he is in such terrlble pain. The good news is that Advil is a pain killer and an anti-inflammatory. It should help. It is what I am taking too. Please let us know how he is doing.
