Good customer service story. Yesterday at my favorite sewing store, I was talking with a clerk and a customer about the now-defunct Martha Pullen retail store. I planned and took a 5 hour trip to see this wonderful store and on the outskirts of Huntsville called the 800- number to get clear directions. The staffer told me that sadly, they had closed the store, then added sweetly - so you won't have wasted your day, I can tell you of three machine embroidery stores in the city. She directed me to the 1st. A customer there led me to the 2nd, clear across town. They gave me directions to the 3rd. Well, the customer in my favorite store's jaw dropped and she said, that was ME that you talked to! I gave her a big hug around the neck and told her what a wonderful day I had because of her helpfulness. Isn't that the coolest!?

I'm assuming you took I-65 on your journey, even if you went the other routes you would have been within 30 miles of me . Sorry I missed you (LOL). Sounds like you had a great trip Since my son n law retired from NASA even though I still have a Grand son working for them I do not get up there anymore. My daughter and G. son both have homes in Athens which is just outside of Huntsville but it's an hour and a half ride 1 way for us and difficult for me to take Ron that far. I'm glad for you that you had a good trip. It's good to be able to go to the places we so enjoy going to. A Happy, productive, healthy New Year to you. Hugs /Lillian

Although unexpected, sometimes those trips turn into lifelong memories.

That was nice, so not a wasted trip, however a long one. I always shop Hancock Fabrics about 50 minutes from me. Imagine my surprise when I go 2 hours, in the opposite direction to a Hancocks in our states capitol, and find a clerk that used to work at our store. She seemed just as happy to see me-lol
