DESPERATE!!! --Look what I did!!! I desperately need a fix. Don't ask how, but I cut a small hole! I put Dritz Fray Check and now its a white circle!

My husbands niece ask if I could stitch over it with a tiny football. I don't have any that tiny. It is only one fourth inch in between lettering.
This is a zip up sweatshirt type jacket, meant for one of the guys, at my son-in-laws church. I emb on cut-a-way.
Can anyone please, help me?

Except for the hole, it looks great. I'm sure Kim's design will fix the problem, I'm happy to sing her praises.

Think of it as another opportunity to use your machine! I've cut holes in things more than once. Your lettering is fabulous!

Thank you, I use this Cooper font every year, for their jackets. This year, this guy won another year too, so we put both years on top of Fantasy Football.

That white ring is a common problem with those fraying products. Next time trying using a mending bonding powder. There are a few different brands on the market and will give you different ways for mending the hole. Could you get away with a satin stitch under the word champion in the same color as the sweat shirt.

First, I hope this is 'no next time!'-lol-
Secondly, I've never heard of a bonding powder and you say there are several. Are you in U.S.?
Thirdly, maybe a wide satin stitch underline would have worked.
Someone digitized me a football and I'm going to stitch it asap

A few names or links to these mending bonding products would be appreciated.

Here is one that I have...Bo-Nash...a YouTube tutorial on how to use it...

Barbaric by Barbaric 03 Jan 2016

It is called 'Supermend Fabric Bond'. It is Made in the EU. By the pamphlet it is distributed by Betterware UK Limited.
It has "code 26240". The address is Stanley House, Park Lane, Castle Vale, Birmingham B35 6U. Some Cuties from the UK may be able to spread some light on this.
I'm glad you have a solution.

The file TinyFootballSMD that graceandham mentioned is from EmbroideryRN & is still available if you don't have it. The file is located in the file named ALTERNATE DOWNLOAD ARCHIVE FILE 5. Here is a link to the file. I hope the link works as this design is about 3/4 in. x less than 1 in. in size. I was able to download from the site. So sorry you had a mishap.

I have all Emb RN's on a CD, I'll have to look back and check it out. I know she made a LOT of mini designs and I have used some before. I know I used her little spatulas on a little girls apron. Thanks for the reminder-Toogie

I have a file "TinyFootballSMD" in my minis directory. I think I added the SMD - Sew Many Designs?

I have that one and mine has smd, too. However, it didn't look too good in my program, although I have never stitched it. Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate any input.-Toogie

Oh no..I know how this happens...perhaps you can find a small star...and embroider it in gold or something over the hole even it it covers part of the "P" and the "V"...or a small football would be good too...If you need me to digitize something...send me a PM....no worries...Happy New Year...

Thanks for your help! I will try to test it today. Then if all is good, hold my breath, while I stitch the jacket! We celebrate New Years with hubby's family today, and we are slow with my shower so if not today, tomorrow for sure. I have to 'get 'er done' for peace of mind!-lol
Thank you for coming to my aide!-Toogie

Check www.embroiderydesigns.com and search for football. I have been saving mini designs to repair the small holes and rips children seem to constantly get. These small designs are a life saver when these "small accidents" happen. Good luck.

Seems like you've done this before. I am hoping to place it to cover the hole well, but not too much of the letters. Wish me luck!- Toogie

Look in your files and see if you have a Brother USA football that was free. I have one that is 1.15x 1.43 that you can reduce without a problem. I don't know how to find it on the Brother site anymore. It could have been a decade ago?, but worth a shot if you have it in your files.
