Happy 9th day of Christmas. Are you still celebrating?

One of my light strings outside went on the blink. It is freezing cold otherwise I probably would have tried to figure out where the connection broke. Instead I decided to remove the outside decoration. I still have the decoration up in the house. The house is a bit lonely right now with all family members having gone home. Just me and my dog remain.

If only people would celebrate for as long as it probably took the wise men to find the Christ child. I guess if they take the decorations down, then I hope that they will at least keep the spirit of Christmas in their hearts, and not just move onto the next holiday- here in the states being Valentines. Living in Oregon with so many Christmas tree farms near us, we always have a cut tree and love the pine scent throughout the house. My favorite thing is to sit in the darkened house with the tree lights on, listening to Christmas music.

Still have my things up Betsey as there are 12 days of Christmas and as it's day 10 down-under in Australia - I can take the tree and the decorations down on Tuesday and put them away for another year. Love Chris

No - decorations are now down. We do have a variety of baked items to finish yet though!
