You have done a great job on this, experiment is always good. Colours are a personal choice, i like to use bright colours that stand out and do not disappear in what designs you chose. If it is not a dense design , you could may be go over it again with a brighter colour. Trial and error as we can always improve on any thing we do. Sandra.
Thank you, I think going over a design is good, specially as my design was not a dense one. I just thought since it is a tea towel and not as thick as a normal towel, it would be ok. Trial and error :-)
If you have Embird or a software program that will let you see the design on different coloured backgrounds try that. I like what you have done. I sometimes get disappointed as the colour didn't show as I thought it would.
Keep on creating and have fun doing it.
Thank you, I don't have Embird, just my normal software program that came with my machine, bought it 6 years ago. But am taking note of all the wonderful suggestions everyone have been so kind to share with me. Cuties at its best.
I always relate this colour to my hair as I'm grey!!! I think with grey, pinks, purples, fuschia, and even silver would be great. You've still done a great job on this. Well done, love Chris
Thank you, I love seeing people with grey hair. My mom has it as well and I told her she is not allowed to dye her hair. Am starting to have some too. Love, Mary
I like what you have done, I tend to be a bit boring with some of my colour choices, I like to put the tones of colour of the towel that I am embroidering, eg, green towel-tones of green, brown towel-tones of brown etc..... but that idea only works with letters only type designs, then I tend to get the colours out that I think will go and lay them on the towels , hugs to you, Trish
Oh, thank you. I also tend to do tone on tone in the beginning, specially when I started with quilting ages ago but I got bored with it and when I discovered scrap quilting, it was my style. Not everyone's cup of tea but that is what is nice about handicraft, to each her own. Hugs, Mary
As others have suggested brights and or pastels. I always take my time with thread color choices. You did a great job.
Great job on stitching, I think I would go with whites and more brilliant pinks........
Try laying some spools of different colors on your fabric and see what pleases you. I like pinks and greens on gray but the possibilities are endless.
