Have no idea where to get a poker chip except for a casino and they cost money Got lots of large buttons though Good idea! Lillian
Thank you. Here in the States, you can find them everywhere. I took these from the children's gaming jar. It is filled with checkers, chess pieces, little wood dots, Monopoly pieces and all sorts of stuff.
This tip is clever-thank you for sharing---I've read hundreds of tips and watch many a sewing and craft show but never was this tip given. I think I own stock now at Emblibrary :)
Thank you. I had wanted to find an alternative to the cardboard that is often recommended. This idea popped into my head, but I have been using it for years. Besides, I have found that whenever I think of something, someone else also has the same idea, so I thought most people would have run across it.
Thank you so much for this very useful tip! Love your little bird.
Very clever, thanks. I've used cardboard and sand pillows, but this seems so much more practical.
a terrific idea thanks for sharing! A darling bird too ~hugs~
This is a neat idea, thanks for sharing. I'm still a little confused though. Is the bird completely made then the chip that is encased in felt sewed to the bottom?
Thank you. After you've stuffed your item but before you close the turning hole, you place the prepared felt piece... lining up the edges of both, then stitch closed.
Great idea and it would work with quite a few designs. Love Chris
Love the idea!!! I will have to share this with my 4-H sewing kids.
Thanks for sharing your tips, great idea. Sandra.
I just need some poker chips, the birds are on sale at embroidery library this week, I bought 2 and will use this idea to stand them up, Thanks
Thank you. Anything flat and round and washable would do....You can adjust the size of the turning hole to the diameter of your flat piece.
Very good idea. I have never seen it before. Thanks for sharing. Love the little bird.
