Thank you for the link, Anabela. I clicked on the link but a page opens showing the message that the page cannot be found. I will try the website as well.
The website is working, now it's a matter of finding the page we want. Thank you!
Hugs, Lidia
P.S.: Thanks for the link to the bobbin storage, that's a great idea!
For the photo with "Bonnie K. Hunter" at the bottom, here's the blog post that goes with it: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/20...
Here is what I want to use
Great website! There are a lot of good ideas throughout the site. Some I already use/do. Some I have seen posted on other sites as well. I love some of the economical storage and organizing ideas.
ja super, das mit den Lockenwicklern kannte ich noch nicht lol, Grüße Maria
What is being used to hold the CD in the tip that shows a CD under the spool of thread? And what is the purpose of the sponges in another tip?
The sponges are used as grips, to hold onto the fabric and glide it easily under the needle while free motion quilting.
Not sure about the CDs. Perhaps they add weight to keep the cones more stablized. Or maybe the just add height to keep the thread from catching. Don't know.
Thank you laffma1. I don't do free motion quilting so I am not familiar with pushing it under the needle. In the other one I can't figure out what the object is that is holding the CD. Obviously it is something that has a spindle, but what?
The CD was just left in the photo so that you would recognize that it was a spindle out of a purchased case of blank CDs. The suggestion was to use the empty CD spindle for a 5000m spool of thread.
Quite a few good tips there Bela, I'm not sure what the tape on the bottom of one of the feet is though. I'm assuming it's something to do with it not dragging on fabric. Love Chris
Chris it is suppose to be similar to the Teflon foot of the machine, so yes won't drag, catch or slow down.
Some of these I have seen before but there were some new ones too and then there were a few that I did not understand.
Looks like most of these were taken off Pinterest and were English speaking to begin with, so if you are interested, you may want to look there, if interested in knowing what the confusing ones were to you, or just ask as I, and likely others here, have seen these before and likely could help. Pam
