This quilt is gorgeous. i love the colors you chose along with the designs.
Lovely Quilt. Thank you for sharing and the link to the youtube.
Will have to try this. Happy Stitching!!
EDIT
I have been asked to add the correct link for the quilt as you go method so here is it. I hope it works this time,

Now I've watched the video I can see how to join the blocks in rows, but not how to join the rows together.
Your quilt is fabulous. I'm so disappointed, when I click on the link I get a message that the video is unavailable. Thanks for trying though.
Great quilt. Beautiful. I could not get this link to work says unavailable. But just could be my pc. Will research later. okay found your second link and it works. Yes this is a good one to watch. Thanks so much!
Can i please ask another question? If your blocks are 14x14 how close to the edge is your pattern or did you cut them down when done embroidering each one???
As mentioned in the video, you have to leave extra fabric all around for sewing everything together. I think it was 2'' if I remember correctly. I did not cut them down, they were all cut to 16'' square and the embroidery design was 14'' so that left me with 1'' on either side to join the blocks. I used a 1/4'' seam when I joined the front block and on the back there is an overlap of the fabric so that is why you need your block to be wider. . As I did not hoop my fabric, I simply centered each piece of fabric onto my hooped batting and did the embroidery. I was working with fabric 150'' wide and wanted to get my 9 blocks across. Hope this helps

Michelle,
I have been watching her videos and she explains very thoroughly, in each of them. I doubt I would make a block ITH like you did here. Although yours is beautiful, I cannot make a block larger than a 5x5. Since I want to make large quilts, queen sized, it would take a large number of little blocks.
I was most interested how you 'joined' block to block and 'joined' row to row. I did my denim quilt block to block/row to row because it was so heavy and I too have arm problems.(see link below) I was able to join these easily enough because of the pattern. This was for a grandson and I have hopes, of making each, of them one.
I really like the neutral colors you have chosen. If I buy all the fabrics new, I can match well enough. I wanted however, to use what I had so it may be better to choose a block such as the dresden, pinwheel, or maybe the strips like the braid. Do you have any other block pattern suggestions?
Again, I truly think you have accomplished a beautiful job here and thank you for the link to the video. I have seen another lady do it this way too, with success, and I think its worth a try. Toogie
this one works for me, hope it does for you,
Looks like the link won't work, just Google Rose Smilth quilt as you go she has several but the one you want is the ''no hand sewing method'' and she is working with a printed panel in shades of aqua and blues.
sorry about that.
