I had noticed last week an azelea in my yard was blooming. 19 degrees yesterday morning and 22 this morning. Just before Christmas my hydrangeas were blooming. I'm wondering what Spring is going to be like. Back home in Macon Ga my aunt informed me the cherry trees were starting to bud and bloom. Bet they do not have any blooms for the Cherry Blossom Festival last of March and first of April. /Lillian
That happens every other year here it seems. Sad that the plants do not produce that year.
No blooming flowers in NJ, but it was 64 degrees in north Jersey yesterday! My sister in NC had 30 something. Gave me the spring cleaning bug, so opened the windows and went at it. Today, at 1:30pm est, it's hit 29. Yuk.
My Forsythia bushes are blooming and jonquils are coming up also. We will have cold weather tonight here ,too. Stay warm. Kay
Looking at 21° by 7AM. Sure wish I could stay snuggled in bed but I'll be up and out. I waved your way last week when we sped (by that I mean not stopping) through Alabama, did you see me?
I've had some blurry vision. Maybe that was you?? (You'd have to be nearly lost to go by my place!)
No flowers in Minnesota. Currently 1 degree. But I really shouldn't complain, we just had the warmest December on record. It wouldn't be Minnesota if we didn't have some winter weather.
Minnesota is finally getting some colder weather. Should make the ice on the lakes safe. I like the cold so bring it on
Not me. I only stay here because I can't afford to go somewhere warmer.
Enjoy, your 23 degrees, It was -23 here last night, but the cold weather is a month late, so know what you mean. Sandy
See, for me, in the South, once it gets below 28 degrees, it's all the same! My mom always said, too cold to snow. Where I grew up we were lucky to have 1-3 snows in a year and some years none. We'd get half inch to 3 inches, and it would be melted on the sledding hill by 3 hours later!
