We all seem to have a stash of some sort that we love.....just imagine some people only have a stash of MONEY...poor things because that is all they have and how boring would that be!!!!!!!!
Oh yes and what wonderful stashes they are. Love mine
Oh yes!! Also like Lillian I have a stash of patterns.....Too bad we didn't have a stash of time...
Hugs, Nadyne
I have all this plus a pattern stash some go back to oldest daughter(62) when she was a baby and some of my dresses as a teenager.
Oh, my, Lillian. The historical pattern resale companies would love to buy them off of you! What a great collection of memories!
A girl has to have backups and those time saving devices... of you can find them at that moment you need them.!
Stashes become very addictive, and fun collecting bargains for our addictions. Enjoy the experience. Sandra.
Definitely in this club. I have just given my Stash's a new place to live (and they deserved it) lol it's 1/3 bigger then my old sewing room, so lovely to be able to turn around without bumping into storage tubs. DH asked last night if the computer tells me how many designs I have, I told him you don't want to know..
What about the Magazine Stash ? It never ends, but what Fun and Insperation ,Hugs Ursula .
Yes also have this stash and a whole lot of unfinished projects.
Oh yes! I have stash everything and everywhere. Now where did I stash that thing a ma jig? Love my stash, Suzanna
I also have a zipper stash, ribbon stash, button stash, snap stash, stabilizer stash. It is something else! I totally agree. We are in a Stash Club! I think stashing appeals to my squirrly personality.
I am like most of you have a stash of just about everything just incase. I was talking to the Insurance lady the other day when renewing my policy and asked if all this was covered in Contents insurance. Answer yes but as long as it was not for a business but take photo's of machine and all your extra's and Email it to yourself as proof incase you want to claim at some stage. The assessor may not be a crafty person and would wonder why you would want 200 reels of thread .
Never thought about listing my sewing room on the contents will take photo's this week. Thank you
I find if i say I have a "collection" of .....whatever... it impresses people!!
No guilt!
Absolutely!!!! That is why I have to redo my craft room and organize my computer files!! And, I just love all the scissors, material, files, gadgets, etc!!! What fun!
I too have some of those stashes. Fabric, thread, and designs. The fabric is mainly for quilting and used for also for embroidery. I don't buy much any more (including free designs) because I want to use up what I have. Still trying to see if it helps.
I love all of our stashes.
If I could say a wish, I would say:
Make me the king of sewing, embroidery and crafting stash. Hahahah
Love you all
dear friend, I'm very modest, so you can call me Princess Anabela instead of Queen. Hahahha
And we all have an impressive stash of stabilizers, but oh what joy these stashes add up too for us and for the folks who receive the compilation of the stashes.
You are so right and all those stashes add up to a lot of cashes lol.
In putting my sewing room together a few weeks ago I was astonished at the amount of stashes I had. You don't notice it as much when it is packed away in boxes in various parts of the house but when you bring everything together it is mind blowing to see what you have invested in what was supposed to be a past time. I estimate my sewing room is probably worth $50 to $60,000 or more. Won't tell hubby that he would faint. When all is said and done however, it makes me extremely happy and fulfilled to spend time in what is my favorite room in the house.
hugs
Michelle
I'm with you, but we better not tell them it's our favorite room, either!
Did you ever hear these questions:
Already shopping up more fabric? You're gonna do what with them? You have so many...bla, bla, bla. Sometimes I realy donĀ“t know what to do with them but...just in case
My answer was always if I didn't have a project in mind it was for my retirement fund. Ah, am I enjoying my stashes!
