Have you ever tried to teach someone how to use a machine that you know nothing about?. My friend bought a Janome. I have a Brother. It is like trying to teach someone another language that you have no knowledge of. My Brother is just so easy to read in simple steps. Luckily I have given her some other pointers when doing embroidery.

Between your tips and the manual, a little practice and she will be on her way.

She is a mad quilter so with the new machine I can see many, many quilts coming from her house now.

The store that she purchased the machine should give machine usage instruction.

I was so excited when another in our Group of 12 bought an Embroidery machine. Can't wait for her to work it all out.

I have a Janome - I found them easy to use. You'll do great with any help you give her!
Good Luck!

I have done this a few times , because I do everything on the machine everyone expect me to know how to use their machines , not only that my son is a Bernina Tech and they think I can fix them to , as I told a lady the other day I am the Tech Mum not the Tech it took him a four year to learn his trade and has worked in it for 27 years that is why he is so good .

I am not going to try and will wait until she knows all the ins and out of her machine and then I will watch her sew.

Chris, How are you feeling?
My Friend will be able to have lessons but she wanted to get started right away.

Yes and not by choice. I always recommend that we pull out the manual first and go from there. Kudos to you for doing this.

She's lucky to have a close friend to help her whether you sail through the Janome quirks or not, you excel at embroidery!

Your friend is lucky to have you. It's so much to learn other than the machine.
