Question : After 6 year I picked up my needles again and started to knit a sweater. (back just finished) No prob with that. It just felt so good to knit again. So no sewing at this moment. The problem I'll be having is, putting it together. My mum used to do this for me. But she passed away some time. I have no idea which stich is the best for putting this together. Did some ever tried to sew it ? (via zigzag or so ?) Any tips/links,.. welcome

Hi Linda, if you send me your address in a PM I could send you a copy of illustrated instructions - in Dutch.

I have always followed the knitting instructions that came with the pattern book and it suggested to hand stitch the backhand stitch in the wool, as Chris has written below.

Thanks, I have read it, but I think I will need to read it again. Probably reading it is more complicated than doing it

Hi Linda, first of all congratulations on picking up your knitting needles again. Whenever I made jumpers I always hand stitched backhand stitch in the wool it was made in. I think sewing it would be fine, but I'd use some form of stretch stitch on my sewing machine. You want something that will have give and take so as not to snap in the seams etc. I hope to see it in the Sewing section once it is all finished. Good luck with whatever option you choose. Love Chris
