Lucky you!!!! I was at Lake Lure,NC when it snowed and I got snowed in for 3 days. It was great, I got to get 4 quilt tops started while I was waiting to be plowed out....didn't happen. I waited till the sun melted enough and people ran chains on their trucks till I felt I could take it slow and get to the main roads. I had finished 7 while I was on vacation. It was a Marvelous vacation.
Beautiful! I do love snow, just not the accumulation of snow., so you have it best! I too love the quiet of a snowfall, and the clean air to breathe. It is eery on a Sunday morning when the rush of the city is also absent.
I like it, too. About 2 inches, doesn't stay on the roads and the pavement is too warm for it to ice and stick. :)
Credence Clearwater fan are you? Snow was beautiful for a little while here but thankful it didn't stay on ground./Lillian
I saw fifteen minutes of light flurry in Auburn, but it was about 38 degrees (41 according to my warm car), so no sticking. It just looked like cotton blowing around up high in the air - didn't even reach my windshield to melt. So weird. Hope you stay warm and cozy and get lots more pretty pictures.
I really hope that we are finished with snow for the year. I have all of the grandchildren all day long when it snows. If I get surprised and don't have any crafts planned, it's sometimes a little hairy at my house.
And yet, look at all the buds on the tree, so Spring is not too far away. It's an awesome picture Jerrilyn, thanks for showing us of those who don't get to see snow! Love Chris
One of my favorite parts of a receiving a blanket of snow is the silence. Nothing quite like it
Same for me, when it's been snowing during the night you know the moment you wake up because of that silence. I love it.
Let me know if you need groceries or a ride someplace. I can fill up my Suburban (with 4 wheel drive) and head your way. Of course I might only make it as far east as Colorado on the one tank...but it is the thought that counts -- right?
I'm fine with groceries. DH has a 4 wheel drive truck, but I'll send you the money for gas if you'll come visit! I'd love it.
I can't seem to find the place to "like" this.
;)
I am sure we can cross paths sometime in the future.... Sending warm hugs and love.
That's funny, I do the same thing.
I do so hope.....thanks for the hugs and love- they are reciprocated.
I guess that means its snowing at an old friend of mines house. She lives around Royston or Gainesville, Ga. I forget which. How cold is it there today? I don't think I'd want to live in the house in the curve, someone may miss the curve...not yours, is it?
