I have to say, this was the easiest quilt I have ever made and it took no time at all! A FB friend had made a Lighthouse quilt in this manner and I loved it. I followed a tutorial by Jenny Doan of Missouri Quilting Company called Attic Window. (I will try to attach the link) Very fast and easy with striking results.
I was so happy with this one, I need to buy a bunch more panels so I can make more!

I love this and am astounded that you can stitch the panel without removing any of it, but just attaching the borders. I thought surely it would look too stretched out unless you trimmed away some of the panel. This looks fabulous! Are you Jenny's twin? Lol
