I would send an Email and see if the repair man is now working for himself. We had something similar here and the repair man was working from home.
I will have to check. The repairman was excellent. My machine worked better after the first time I had it cleaned and adjusted than it did when it was new. He has always taken care of any issues and all I was charged was the $100.00 cleaning fee. Thanks with hugs, Barba
I would start now ,go online and look up sewing machine dealers in your area, most will repair other brands than what they sell. Ask in the fabric store where do there customers get repairs done. Find someone before you actually need them. As for shipping machines off to be repaired that also is a hassle with packaging and the expense involved. Good luck.
I am going to do some searching and see what I can find out. I would also be concerned if I had to ship may machine. The mail is not handled as gently as it used to be treated. Most packages I get have some dents and dings in them. Thanks with hugs, Barba
Do you have a brother dealer near by?
Here in Seattle our brother dealer...a large business... handles all brands. I no longer use the Viking stand alone store as I get much better service from Quality Sewing & Vac.
There are no brother dealers in the whole state last time I checked. I will do some research and see what I can locate. Thanks with hugs, Barba
So sorry to hear this. We have a stand alone shop here in Chesterfield, VA, Ultimate Sewing, 804-221-8304 service no. Shop 804-594-2777. I know they do repairs on machines from out of state. They did keep my machine for 2 months before Christmas, I think because of the time of yr. I hope this will help.

Thank you. I will keep those numbers and call if I have issues. I am so sad to have them close. I hope someone takes over the dealership and reopens in near future. Economy is just not robust enough for as expensive as these machines are getting. Hugs, Barba
I hope they have an international headquarters with repair department as does Brother in Tennessee, where you can mail your machine to. I am so unhappy with my local dealer, I choose to put my machine in the mail and have it done right the first time. Not just tightening a screw and giving it back.
I never thought of that. If I have problems will have to check. This is so disheartening. You spend too much money to get something super nice and then the dealership closes. Sad. Thanks for the info. Hugs, Barba
Goodness, that was not a lot of warning! I hope Viking has someone just across the state line ready to help!
I have no idea. The state line is about 4 hours from me. I wonder is they priced themselves out of business. I cannot afford a new machine as expensive as they are now. Hugs, Barba
