I like having the color chart next to my machine as reference when I am ready to stitch a particular design, so only print the color chart when I am ready to embroider that design. Initially I only save the pdf to my computer, and do not print it. I like to keep the pdf in the same zip file with the design so that they are together. If the design did not come in a zip, then I will rename the pdf so that it matches the name of the design.
If a design on the website does not have a pdf, but only a picture of the design and hopefully a picture of the color chart as well, I will use the snipping tool to get the info. The snipping tool creates a picture file with the info. These files have the .png extension and will open in paint. Again, when saving them, I give them the same name as the design so that they are together in my embroidery folder.
I know that not every version of windows included this tool, but it I just saw that it is available as a free download on the web.
Hope this helps. Judy

The easiest way is to save the colour sheet as a pdf. You will need a pdf writer program - I use Cute PDF Writer which is a free download.
When you have the colour sheet on your screen click the print button. You will get a dialogue box like this one. Click the "change" button (highlighted on the picture,) and select your pdf writer from the list. Then you will get the option to decide which folder to put it in.
Good luck.

Hi I'll show you how I do it through PAINT

1. Click on the design and click on PRINT colour chart.
2. This is the colour chart for the Koala.
3. Go to the top left hand corner and click on FILE then click on SAVE AS and save it to one of your files. Good luck, Chris, Newcastle, Australia.
