I have decided to join a Sampler Quilt along. we will be making 100- 6.5 inch blocks ( finished 6") the 2 on the left are from the Sampler & since i have just joined ( two blocks per week) I have made 6 alternate blocks in case I am not fussy on some of theirs. I have posted the link in case anyone else is interested in joining along. You can do as many as you want of each block, make them all the same or just make all 100 of them either way by the time we have completed this we will have a full size quilt top made.

a tip for those making this #4 block the circles are the size of a dime & a quarter give or take a wee bit.

Great start and I too would be worried about remembering. Maybe safety pin the completed blocks together with a note saying "Pick up next block on____ @ The Splendid Sampler . com". Then leave it where you can not miss the stack of blocks. Love the many colors. Pam

a very good idea Pam, I have just discovered that she sends an email to let you know when the next block is up if you sign up for the newsletter so this works well to remind me . ~hugs~

Nice job Loralye, some of these look very intricate. Love the colour combinations, especially the heart one. Sandra.

I do too Chris, I hope that I remember & stick with it. So far I quite like it & have no idea what it will look like when it is all done but I do know that I will be adding a solid colour sashing. Way to many colours here & we only have a few blocks lol ~hugs~

This is very interesting and tempting, even though I am not a quilter! It seems there is a lot of help available, and no pressure to make this in any particular way. Thank you for the link! Judy

Thanks for the encouragement. I love to look at finished quilts, but making them is something else - I've only made a couple of very plain log cabin quilts. My main issue with quilting is that it drives me crazy when corners do not meet perfectly, and I really hate to rip, so we'll see.... Judy
