Thanks Loralye, isn't she a character? She caught me off-guard, but it's so comfortable lying on my stomach. Love Chris
I am so happy to see you smile! Glad everything is going according to plan. You look marvelous by the way!
Hi Chris, So glad you're feeling better. You look Great!
Thanks Meganne!!
Wow, no wonder you look happy, Chris, you are showing off you new silhouette!
Thanks for sharing this picture, Meganne, well done!
Hugs, Lidia
Great photo!!! That does not look like any hospital gown I have ever seen before!!! More like a hospital pen up girl. You look marvelous! Kay
Thanks so much Kay, as Jerrilyn has posted further down the page - Miss March!!!! Thanks for your kind words, I'm feeling great. Love Chris
This picture of you with a smile on your face you can see that the ton of bricks from the nerve pain has been lifted. Pain from the surgery is nothing to the pain you have been living with. Give you a few days and it will be hard to keep you on house arrest. There is going to be no stopping you. You may have all your Christmas luncheon projects all completed by June, if you do not channel the energy you are going to be having. It will be very intense, so plan out your projects and the activities you are wanting to get done, or if you have any mini vacations you are wanting to do, as your energy and your very spirit will feel euphoric and you are going to be riding high on all the answered prayers, feelings of gratefulness you have for the gift you are being given, of actually getting your life back again. It is a blessing from the Lord above, and to be very much treasured, as you know just how badly things have been going for several months, and you also must protect yourself from doing anything that could possibly put yourself at risk. I hope you never have a return of the kinds of pain you have been having. It's the pain I know too well and it is so awesome to see someone be able to get that gift of a second chance of getting your life back. I know, that you know, that it was through the hands of God that things are going as well as they are in your surgery and healing. I am so very happy for you, and prayers of thanks to our Father above and prayers continue that you will continue to be blessed with healing and strength and open to knowing from the Lord if he would have you to use this experience in some way that could help build his kingdom at this time. Hugs and continuing prayers. I am so very happy for you! Pam
Thanks so much Pam for your heartfelt words. I'm really touched. I can't but be healed with all the wonderful prayers I've received. I told Meg that when I was in the room waiting to be taken into the Operating Theatre I could feel the prayers of the faithful wrapped around my whole body, it was tangible! Love Chris
You look great!!! Sew glad you are better... Keep smiling!!!
Kathy
Great to see you smiling. Lovely picture. Hugs Shirley
Lookin' good! So great to see you smiling, Chris...Thanks, Meg for posting this...
Chris...you look great. Lucky you didn't have your blue hospital gown on. LOL. Now that would have been a giggle!!!!
Irene
Hi Irene, yes that would have been a bit of an issue, especially with the openings on those things! Thanks for the compliment. Love Chris
Thank you Meg, for posting this photo of Chris. It makes me want to cry to see her so happy and pain free (I hope). She looks so good!
Thanks Toogie, I feel so much better than I have in ages. She was mucking about and I just turned and I said "Oh! no, you're not taking a picture of me like this" and yes, it was too late, she took it! I hope to be pain free really soon. Love Chris
Looking great! I know you will be sewing up a storm when your back to it. How long before you get to travel home?
Hi Theresa, I've got some table runners to do once I get back to sewing. I'll be going home tomorrow - Friday 11th March. Looking forward to be being back in my own environment. Love Chris
Oh, Meg, thanks for posting - this is a wonderful picture!!! Look at that smile!! Hugs to you, Laura*
Thanks Laura, Meg always makes me laugh! She is such a great lady. Love Chris
Yea. Hope any and all pain will soon be just a bad memory. mk
You are too funny... so you don't look like a patient. You are the patient! I do not know how you can be in that position. It is good to see a smile on your face. Something is working.
Hi Chris, this is how I've been lying for the past 5 months, but I also sleep on my stomach, so it's not problem for me. I think the pain killers are making me smile! I've still got a way to go, but I'll certainly get there. Love Chris
You look beautiful and I know you feel a whole lot better now. That radiant smile says it all. Thanks Meganne for the picture that proves how good she is doing.
Thanks Karen, it's so great to feel a little bit 'normal' - I'll get there eventually. Love Chris
This picture could be the start of a Cuties calendar!
She sure doesn't look like a patient to me, she is radiant. Happy things are going better for her. Thanks for the photo and need to say it is so nice to see you here as well
hugs
Michelle
Thanks Michelle, I feel so good. A few bouts of pain here and there, but nothing to what I have been through the past 5 months and I can sit down now and type. I'm actually on my ergonomic chair - Trev bought it in for me! Love Chris
LOL, Meg, only a BFF could get away with this......I gotta say Chris, you look better right now than I do on a good day!! You got a happy face and I know why........reduced pain.....woo hoo!!
Yes, you are right the reduction of the nerve pain has made me feel great. I've still got a bit of a way to go with some therapy, but I'll get there, especially with everyone's prayers for a speedy recovery. Love Chris
Chris glad to see you so well and Happy. Ray what were you thinking??? Was lovely to talk to both you and Meg today. Sorry i missed you both xx
Thanks Pauline, I actually think he was pointing out something because I think that is his thumb and finger behind me. We were deep in conversation when Meg called me!!! Love Chris
I believe they were talking about Morphine patches and he was just being expressive. :-)
If only you had rang an hour before you could have visited Chris too then we WOULD have had a knees up. LOL!!!
Ha ha ha, that's only if I could get them lifted that high. At the moment, I'm struggling to put my socks on! Once the pain subsides I'm sure I'll be able to do a knees up! Love Chris
Pity we didn't have any champers, we could have said "bottoms up!"
Teeheehee!
Ha ha, that would have been lovely. Will have to wait till I see you next time. Thanks so much for you and Ray coming all this way and with those beautiful flowers and red licorice. Love Chris
Thanks Meg for the pic update.. Chris nice to see a smile on your face instead of pain, not that you would show us that side.. How long are they going to keep you this time..
Hi Meg. Chris looks much happier now. Tell her to keep her chin up. By the look of it she has to keep her bottom up as well. LOL. Hugs Marg
Cheeky beggar!!! It was exactly the reason I was lying on the bed!!! I gave Meg and Ray the chairs. Looks like Ray is giving me the Victory sign!!!! Love Chris
Thank you Meg for this post. So good to see Chris looking so well.
Yes, I told her she was naughty to take the Piccie! Lucky for me I wear dresses through the day and only put on a nightie to sleep - so I don't look like a patient!!!! Love Chris
OH you looked fabulous and your weight loss efforts are truly noticeable in that outfit you were wearing. You should feel very proud of your achievement to date. :-)
