wow, beautiful girl in a stunning dress! And the banner is great too :)
I have set up that font for my niece's gift. You GD is beautiful and that is a great dress, however the sash is the best because the 3 of you got it together. Well done!
The banner is beautiful, and your granddaughter is absolutely gorgeous! Suzanna
That's an awesome banner for a true beauty. She is gorgeous!
Lovely girl with lovely smile.
Your said what made it work was using the cut a way under the piece. Hey you were the one the one who knew to do that so it looked great.. Give your self a pat on the back or head which ever is easier. Congratulations on a wonder project and thank you for sharing. Loved it.
what a lovely girl with the sashing, sweet smile always make one beautiful. You always do such a fantastic job, and thank you for sharing how you did it. I have a big piece of Burlap fabric, don't know why my DH bought it sooo many years ago and have been trying to find out what to do with it. :-)
This was about a 5 or 6 inch wide ribbon roll of burlap my daughter had bought for decorating. We were trying to think of something to make the banner out of and one daughter suggested this. It worked out well but only because I used the cut a way under the whole piece of burlap, as it was pretty hole-y. Thanks for looking and liking my work. I hope I have helped you at times.-Toogie
Very nicely done. She looks very royal.
Wow--beautiful girl and sash. I have never tried burlap and those fonts from Apex are gorgeous. Love hearing how everyone accomplishes their work--supplies used etc. Great job Toogie.
Thanks Patti, as I told jenne below, Apex has 2 free fonts right now and I have used a few of theirs, all with great success. I used the cut-a-way the whole width and length of the burlap because the burlap was so holey. I knew if I trimmed around the letting it would show though white there and blue lining would show in spaces so I just opted for the white all the way. The burlap was a wide 'ribbon' on a roll, my daughter had bought for a wreath but hadn't used it.
Looks really great and your granddaughter looks mighty proud.
Well done, Toogie.
Hugs, Angelika
The sash is lovely and so is your grand daughter!
Thank you, she's so tom boy, she didn't even tell us she entered. I think her friends talked her into it and as she won, they may wish now they hadn't-lol-No, I think they were glad, too.
This is terrific and your model is gorgeous!
Thanks Vicki. I get in the sun and burn but she tans very well. A summer in the sun and she looks like this. This was not the day of the pageant but her hair still had a little curl left here. Normally its straight as mine.
WOW, great job. Congratulations Lanie and you
Have a nice day,Céline
Great job on the sash.. Congratulations Lanie you look every bit a winner.
Thank you Marian. This was actually a pageant 2 years ago (I just found photos of sash) and she is so dark from being in the sun playing softball. She entered this because she had her prom dress and wore it for the pageant, too. She was surprised to win,as this is not her 'thing' to do, she'd rather play ball!-lol
Well done to both of you and Congratulations to your beautiful grand-daughter!
Hugs, Lidia
Excuse my ignorance Toogie, but what is CAW? And by the way you've done an excellent job on the sash. What a beautiful looking young girl she is too! Love Chris
Hurriedly on my part, cut a way (CAW)-
This is my oldest grand-daughter. I posted her before with the Prom dresses, in Community, a couple years ago.
I am so glad to see you in Megs post, doing well and looking so happy. I am extremely happy for you to be better. Love-Toogie
Yes, was that the lass in the Aqua dress? Love Chris
P.S. I thought there were a few girls all in their dresses too.
I'm glad to be feeling a little bit normal!
Had to smile Chris. CAW is part of the number plates in our next big town. We always say it stands for Cold And Wet :)
lol- and yes Chris, she was the one in Aqua. I have added her photo above, in the dress she wore, for prom and pageant.
Great job and pretty girl. I know she was the winner!
