I have just come in from the yard and I can't decide whether to crawl into my chair, the shower, or upstairs to my machine. I am so far behind on raking and picking up limbs and prettying up edges for spring with this gimpy knee. I am trying to reclaim my Head Gardener status. It feels like I haven't gardened for years. For example, my shovel is extremely heavy (no stamina) and doesn't dig as deeply as it used to! And I couldn't think which tools to select for today's work. And I can't push a heavy wheelbarrow, so I've been driving around and around the driveway and using my car as the wheelbarrow (pitiful). Before you panic, it's more than 1/2 mile long. Toogie get ready; this is a stage in post Physical Therapy recovery!

I want to see your garden or yard when you're though. My husband and his brother just planted irish potatoes, a couple weeks ago. As far as my yard, the flowers won't be here this spring, except for the crepe myrtles and irises, and roses, that come alive every year. I can't do any weeding and Lord knows the beds need it! I did get hubby to trim my roses back and top the crepe myrtles. We need to fertilize everything now.
Take care of your knees. Was it knee replacement or leg broke like me?

"Just" a scope and a scrape of the arthritis, but it so far seems unsuccessful. May be looking at replacement.

okay, so do a little bit of gardening [not so much that you get tired-out]. Next...have that shower, get some coffee, and then it's time to Sew!!! best of luck with your knee xx

Thank you. But, ... I had already way overdone it. Today I did not do yard work and tomorrow I'll be ready to go at it again if not raining. If it would rain in the night I would be doubly lucky because the soil would be soft and my next chore is to degrass some edges of flower beds.
