OMG!!! You make me feel really bad... I went to a quilt show last month and bought a 10 needle Baby Lock machine. I didn't need it, but I have wanted it for along time. I have other machines, 1 baby lock and 3 Viking. I now am going to sell 1 of the Vikings. But now I can do large designs, pockets and caps. I am sure I will fine a lot of new things I can do. My dealer in Richmond, VA. is great and are
helping me with the training. I think you would have gotten you money back.
Kathy
You have been doing well at the shows. and it does have a bigger hoop.
This might be the only time you get a chance like this! As long as it is a good machine - go for it! You won't regret it!
Thank You all for your comments. I have had a little talk to myself and realise I don't need the machine with larger hoops. How many times would I use the hoops and would I get my $2,000 worth. If I was much younger I would not hesitate. One thing I have learned from your comments is that how many of you would like a machine with larger hoops. Many Hugs. Lyn
Lyn, considering the ITH projects which you make for stalls I think you would use it. If it is the same brand you use now I wouldn't hesitate - there wouldn't be a learning curve to negotiate.,
Helen
Helen you are naughty. Thank goodness it is not the same brand as my 2 other machines or I would not hesitate. My girlfriend also would love it but she has just bought her first embroidery machine at Christmas.
I am naughty. It is such a bargain. I'd rather have a new machine than a new car.LOL
Does it come with a few different size hoops which are larger that the ones you have? How old is it & how much use has it had ? Is it a model that has a lot of good press & can it be serviced near you?
If you answered yes to all these questions ,you should consider it & sell you oldest machine or keep the old one, to use when one of the others needs to be serviced or repaired.
Let us know more.
Honestly, what does need have to do with it. A fabulous bargain (assuming age and condition ok, and a dealer who can service it) and another toy to play with - go for it.

Unless the hoop size would be a large difference I would save my 2000 for a rainy day. Is there that much of a difference in what you have now.
Wow...what is the brand of the machine and how old is it...when was the last service by the dealer...is everything in good working order...so many questions...if I were going to take the leap, I would also need a test drive...
How old is the machine Lynn and if it's not that old I'd get it and sell one of your older machines (like Marg suggested). I've never regretted buying my Brother machine as it has massive hoops. Mind you I've not used the 14inch one yet but some day I will . Love Chris
As long as it is in perfect working order, go for it. Yes, you can use and will love the larger hoops.
I think just for the larger hoops it would be great. Let us know the outcome
I have never regretted buying a machine with big hoops!
Lyn sounds like a great buy. You will have to make a pro con list this might help you come to a decision and as Marg says below maybe you could sell your least used machine to help make room. Good luck with your decision.. Marian
Lyn, only you know the answer. It does sound like a great deal. Maybe you could sell one of your other machines. Decisions, decisions.......Hugs Marg
