If someone is using Outlook, the only way I know of to not have the "dinner" example occur (wonderful way to explain this, by the way rescuer), is to go into account settings for each email address and select "leave a copy on the server". That way the email can be retrieved from multiple locations. In Outlook this option is found under "Accounts" then advanced. I do not know if the option is available in other email programs. Those with Outlook should check this out - it is an option that benefits me daily. You can read more about it here:

With Gmail, you can read the message on your phone and on your computer, and they have to be deleted from both places for it to be completely gone. I do not know how this works with Hotmail and yahoo email programs. Hope this helps.

There was no email when you posted this. However, she did send the letter "B" out recently.
About your question concerning the emails:
There is a LOT of techy things here that I will try to explain in a way that might be easier to understand. If you need more help understanding let me know.
Think of your email as dinner in the oven. You and your friend are cooking. If your friend gets to the dinner and finds it ready -- she takes it out of the oven. If you go look for it and do not find it -- it does not mean it is really gone. It just means you will have to find your friend to get dinner.
Now for the real email story: An email comes for you at your email address. You open your Windows 10 machine first. It goes out and collects the emails (it may do this without your help too). When you go to get the emails with your laptop, the email is gone -- just like the dinner.
Your Windows 10 can download -- but you will find it hard to know where your designs are without help setting it up.
If you have Facebook, that would be an easy solution.
This is a great explanation so tomorrow I am going to open my mail on my laptop first and see if it makes a difference, because as I've said before, sometimes it is there, other times not. But I did sign up for their Facebook group and I got the B today from there. I am always amazed by the help I get from Cuties, Thank you so much.
There are some good suggestions here, thanks to all took the time to respond. Some I have already tried, some I don't know how to do, but there are some I will give a try. Thanks.
You are right in saying that the letters can only be gotten through the newsletter - frustrating for you, I know.. I also get these daily letters from Stitch Delight, and they are contained in a zip file. Are these the only zips you cannot download on your windows 10 email program, or do you have trouble downloading any and all zips?
You say you have different email programs on each computer. Does that also mean that you have 2 different email addresses? If so, have you tried forwarding the email with the attachment from your windows 10 computer to your address on the Vista computer? If you think the problem with your Vista email program is that it is unreliable, do you know if the windows 10 email program can be downloaded and installed on your Vista computer, or perhaps you’d like to try one of the free web-based programs, such as Hotmail or yahoo. You could then forward the e-mail to one of those.
Sometimes the issue could be the browser you are using. Have you tried using a different browser? I understand that windows 10 uses "Edge" as their default program, but you can try using a different one, such as IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Mozilla, etc.
Apparently others also have problems downloading files from the internet. Some possible causes and fixes are listed in these two links that I found on Google. Hope something here helps. http://www.groovypost.com/howto/m... and http://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix...
Please let us know if you found something that fixed this issue. Good luck!

I can not think of any reason why you can not download whether W10 or Vista. Maybe you do not know where it downloads to. As far as the e-mail is concerned have you checked if it is in the spam folder? I use either Firefox or Google and do not use programs like Outlook. That way I can get to my e-mail where ever I am or whatever I use. Hope you get it solved.
It is not in the spam/junk folder, it is not there at all.
It is so expensive to get support to come to the house and my grandkids, who could probably fix it in a minute, do not live close to me. So I muddle along, doing the best that I can with my limited skills. The thing that is so puzzling about this is sometimes I get the newsletter on the laptop and other days I do not. As far as the pes files on the desktop, I know where to find them I just don't know how to open them, so I can't use them.
I don't know that much but I did start out using pes files and learned then that WinZip.com has a trial program( that you can use practically forever) and it will unzip compressed files so you cn open them. You might give that a try. As for the newsletter, you might have to send them a message and make sure you are on their list to receive everything, you know how you usually have to check, daily, weekly, occasionally etc??
I use the same email address for both programs and the weird thing is that some days I get it and other days I don't. So I am signed up and the fault lies in my computer..
With Windows you do not need winzip. Windows has the ability to extract files from zipped folders. Just right click the zipped folder and select extract -- tell it where to put the file when it is finished,
