Wow, that's a lot of work. I'd make something small like a heat pad or table mat. Well done, it's looking grand. Love Chris
I don't quilt, so I can't make any comments other than how pretty it all is!
I like quilting, and I love using up my scraps, I would rather do the quilt as you go method by the crazypatchshortcutquilts.com. At least, there is no hand stitching involved in putting the sashing and by the time you sew the sashing, the quilt is done, only the binding left. Embroidering it twice takes more time and thread? I have to be frugal, so am only stating my opinion in this matter. Hope this helps.
Looks like a lot of effort, especially if you have to stitch each block twice to get the density in the stitches you want...I think I would throw in the towel before I could get a quilt made...perhaps something smaller for me...hot pad...purse panel...or other...If would probably get bored..sorry...just me!
You won't like my idea---I don't have a clue. My sample would be sitting along with my others [in a basket] just waiting for me to have a brilliant idea. This looks nice either way though in regards to how light or thick the stitches are.
I definitely can see being able to use up a lot of little scrap pieces. Quilts galore! Great idea!
Looks interesting. Have you been playing with the sizes? I noticed some of the stitching looks thin in the first 2 photo's but the second 2 look perfect.
I could even see it being used as a panel for a Tote bag.
Hay you got a good eye .I saw that and redid each one The final sewing two times:):)Now it really pops out .Don`t you think!!!
Yes it really pops out now. So what you are saying if I understand you correctly. To get that lovely finish on the last 2 photo's you just stitched it twice?
