It's beautiful! How do you attach the lace to the fabric? Do you make the lace first then sew it on?

I create inner contour stitches in my software and they attach the fabric to the hooped water-soluble Vilene, then the lace is being stitched onto the fabric.

Such a beautiful doily!! You have done such a fabulous job on this.
