I have the Teflon foot, but for me, the tissue paper is the best. If it starts to tear stitches when you remove it, dampen your fingers and the seam (lightly) to make the tissue fall apart.
When I sewed on leather and vinyl, I used regular gift wrapping tissue paper under the vinyl and above the presser foot. It worked beautifully, is inexpensive, unobtrusive and tore away easily without disturbing the stitches.
there is a product by Dritz called Sewers aid. A lubricant that provides smooth hand and machine sewing.
Apply to hand and sewing machine needles for smoother and easier penetration into the fabric.
A drop to spool and bobbin thread helps lubricate machine as thread passes through the guides of machine.
Small amount on bottom of sewing machine presser feet help them glide over fabric.
A drop on scissor blades provides smooth cutting action.
I have never used it myself but it sounds as if it is something that would help
sounds like a good idea Bev I will pass this on. I was thinking maybe just a Teflon foot or something like that? Good thing I asked lol thanks
