HELLO to all my dear friends. It's been 55 days since Ron first went in hospital and then in Rehab. I brought him home yesterday and am hoping to keep him here as long as I can. Again I thank you all for your prayers, without them he would not have been here today. This is not going to be easy but will give it my best shot. I placed him on waiting list for Nursing Home . If I can not adequately care for him at home then that will have to be the route I have to take. He can stand a few mins now and take a few steps with a walker wearing a gait belt. . He must have weekly blood work drawn because of the large doses of blood thinner so Home Health will come and do this and hopefully help in some other areas to keep him at the level he is now. Will know more after they come and talk with me. This night has been uneventful, and he has slept well. 5 AM now and time for a cup of coffee for myself. Love to you all. I am so pleased to have him with me here at home again! /Lillian

Lillian, God bless you, and God bless you for trying to care for your at home, you will be surprise at how much you can do with God's help. I cared for my husband for 5 years in our home, then sold our home and moved into an apartment to care for him for 3 years more, 2 years ago I had an operation and could not care for him a I had to place him in a nursing home. Try to care for him as long as you can at home, The bible say you can do all things through Christ Jesus, and you can, Call on Him and He will answer you and show great and mighty things you know not, Never give up, and never give up hope, Speak positive words from the bible over him In Jesus name

I am so glad to hear that Ron is finally home. It is good that you have Home Health. They should be able to help in many ways like helping with bath. Just ask them. I know what you are going through as I am going through the same thing. Joyce

Lol One of the first things he said was "when do I get some good home cooking" Of course I got busy and cooked lunch for him. He kept telling me how good it was. He does love Southern home cooking

This is such good news and an answer to so many prayers. It must be overwhelming to be responsible for him (solely) again. Will phys. therapy continue? Love and best wishes, B.

How lovely that Ron is back home with you and I agree with all the others, make sure you look after yourself. I am so pleased that your family live close by to help you.
I will certainly keep you in my prayers and hope Ron's weekly blood work is not too draining on him. I also pray that you can find a good nursing home that will not be too far away from you. May you feel the tangible presence of Him who knows and cares for you. Love Chris

I am absolutely positive that having you care for him is the best medicine Ron can get. The next best thing is to keep up his rehab therapy. He will get stronger each day as he continues his exercises. I'm so glad he is now home with you. You can relax better in your own surroundings and having less stress will help both of you get through all of this. Don't forget to take care of yourself, too. He needs you strong and healthy.

Dear Lillian,
Happy that you have him by your side again and enjoy that as long as it lasts. It is not easy caring for someone full time, hopefully you have someone (family or friends) who can come and give you some time for yourself as well. Remember to take care of yourself as well as Ron because if you get run down, well you know the rest.

Will continue to pray for you both, take care and hang it there
hugs
Michelle
