Wow mon amie tu a toute une belle salle de couture
tu doit ĂȘtre contente bien fier pour toi
Beautiful - It is a space most of us can only dream about. So nice and neatly organized. You are truly blessed to have such a beautiful room. :)
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful space with us. I love the way everything has it's own spot and very organized. Way to Go!!! It's a very "Happy" place.
Oh Wow! and my husband thinks my room is bogged down. I take it you have clients and do this out of love and for an income. Love your space. Lovely lots of thread.
Lovely room. Nice to have a sewing area that can be closed off and is strictly yours.
All you need now is a bathroom and you are set.
Michelle, your sewing room is simply AWESOME! Every single inch is so well planned. I'm hoping you don't put in a regular ironing board, but instead a rectangular one, as they work so much better for quilts. Do you have a TV somewhere? I think your cutting table is the Star of the room. I love seeing all your fabrics and the way you sorted them! Your whole room makes my mouth drool. Make sure you come up for air sometimes! One day I'm going to come visit <3 Jan
Michelle Congratulations to you sewing room looks so perfect and wonderful.Huggies Stella
Absolutely fabulous (and so tidy!) We are all green with envy.
BTW I remember when sewing machines all came with a black rubber mat! I think it was really to protect polished table tops, but they were great shock absorbers.
Michelle what a wonderful & productive & practical workspace! Well done, I can see why you don't want to come out of the basement lol. Thanks so much for the tip about that black foam core. I will have to invest in this too. Our machines do tend to vibrate. I especially like your extra cutting table sigh.........A beautiful studio for your beautiful creations! ~hugs~
Wow what a wonderful set up! Lots o f room now ! Congratulations!
Congratulations and celebrations! If you are going to invite to your first big sewing and embroidering party in pyjamas please don't forget me. I am coming. This is so perfect :-) Hope you "trained" your family to cook good for you and bring food and drinks into your sewing facility if you ring the bell.
Thank you for sharing your fairy tale room - Maria
thanks Maria,
Deep freeze is full of all kinds of goodies, I suppose if I had a microwave I could hibernate all winter. Summer is to beautiul here to stay indoors,
The room is a dream. I am so happy for you and you so deserve this dream room. Your work brings so much joy to others and to you. You are a thankful and grateful woman Michele. You will continue to receive blessings because you use your talents to the fullest. Thank you for sharing this beautiful dream with us.
Bren
thanks my friend,
I did wait for a long time and now I am in exactly what I dreamed of. Thank you for your kind words, warms my heart
hugs
Michelle
Nice! Lucky you to have such a large space...we don't have basements in California...wish we did!!
Thanks
Basement is a must for my Happy machine, it has less vibration on the cement floor. Basements are great for storage
Oh Michelle, your studio is fabulous!! I see why it would be difficult to go upstairs. You have just about everything you could ever want in there. It's such a large area, and it's all yours. I, too, am a bit green.
For all the work you do, you really deserve a wonderful studio, and I think you got that and more. Hope you have many happy and creative hours in there!
Thanks,
I have certainly been more productive since I have my new sewing room. My last was a 9 x 10 foot space so this is huge in comparison.
So glad you've now got it all organised Michelle. Well done! I love my Bias binding machine too, they make doing the binding on everything so much easier. Is that a floating floor you have put in? And I LOVE the central island bench with all the cubby holes. All you need is a fridge down there and somewhere to have a snooze occasionally and you won't ever need to come out!!! he he he! Love Chris
thanks Chris,
Yes,floating floor, so easy to clean. I do have a fridge and the quest bedroom is at the end of my sewing room so I could stay down here for a few days, oups forgot, need a bathroom down here and it would be perfect.
hugs
MIchelle
A perfect workroom, I would exchange with pleasure with you LOL, hugs Maria
A lovely extra large room with everything well laid out so you don't waste time looking for things.
thanks
the secret is to always put things away all through the work day and then a final sweep at the end of the day,
works for me and I don't like clutter anyway
Wowzer! You have a great space to work in. Excellent arrangement, and now I know your secret. a bias binding machine! Best wishes for your continued success!
thanks Christine,
one of the best Tools in my sewing room is my bias binding machine, I sew so much of this that it is an essential tool.
Wow! Color me green (Envy). This is awesome. I hope you will be able to work here and keep it lovely! Lots of thought. I, too, believe in tools at each work space. Scissors and rulers and markers where I hoop and where I sew. Oh, and a drink coaster! The essentials.
Oh, this is such a nice work place! I'm so happy for you and wish you many happy hours of creating here. I hibernate in my work place, so we may as well enjoy the space, although mine is not nearly the size of yours. Enjoy!
thanks toogie,
I spend about 7-8 hours a day in my sewing room so it has to be my ''happy place''
What a beautiful room. You will have plenty of creative hours in there I imagine.
thank you
yes it is so much easier to create when there is no clutter. I have been very discplined (usually am anyway) about keeping it clean and tidy.
How beautiful! I have been starring at your pictures loving what you have done. This set up has a great flow and easy access to everything you need. Your thought into your setup was fantastic. Supplies at each are was really good planning. You have done a great job. Now you can return to stitching.
thank you,
Yes I told myself it can be pretty (not there yet) but most importantly it has to be functional.
Very nice!!! My sewing room is in my basement, but it doesn't compare with yours. I don't know how you will ever leave this....
