Use the same thread u sewed the fsl with to sew the pieces together. U will b much happier with the results I promise U *4U
I know that some designers say to use the invisible thread, but I use the same color as the edge of design. I had asked Shirlene, and that is what she also does. I have problems with the invisible thread staying threaded also. I thought it made the project look untidy and did not like the effect of it. Go take a look at all of the FSL projects that have been shown, and I think you will see the results. Good stitches to you.
I agree with you dlonna, it did look untidy especially since my bell is red, and to be honest the thread showed a lot on it and so did the mess lol. I ended up stitching it all together 3 times before I got it right finally, using matching thread. will post a pic of it soon in project section.
we used it a lot when I worked in suit hire the cheep stuff put in the bin it wast so much time , we used new needles with it ,I worked with German lady that used a kind of wax ,rubed the needle in it,loved working with her,
never heard of waxing needles - don't they get gummed up or turn blunt? I only know one waxes thread for beading.... I guess one can wax the invisible thread if using it for hand sewing but for machine it should be a bit difficult I guess.
Shirlene is our FSL expert. She has always said to use the same color thread in the bobbin. That is about all I know so not much help to you now. Hopefully Shirlene or someone else can shed some light on this for you. *4U
dkjack, I do use the same colour in the bobbin; I only tried stitching the pieces of the bell together with invisible thread but didnt work out.
