In English English there is no comma before the and. Personally, I would put one either side of the "Mom".
I agree that the comma is not necessary after thank you. I also agree with the Oxford or Serial comma. Just read it out loud and you will find yourself pausing after the word guidance. Lots of opinions , so do as you wish. Nice design. Kay
I am pretty sure a comma should go after the word Mom and no comma after the word guidance.
lots of opinions here Vicki lol best of luck on whichever you choose & many thanks for the offering of this lovely design~ ~hugs~
Thank you, Mom, for your time, guidance, and love! (When ones name is mentioned in the middle of a sentence, the name has a comma before and after, to show you are speaking to him/her. When listing items, each is separated by a comma, including one before "and"! The comma shows separate distinction/importance of EACH item listed. I love an exclamation point at the end of a statement, too!
This is a lovely design, Vicki!
Hugs, Angel
Well, I see you have the answer about the "commas" from our scholastic teaching community of Cuties...
Beautiful!!!Have just lost my Mom...These words says so much!!!!Thank you.....
You need to remove the comma after "Mom" and leave the comma after "guidance"--from a former teacher of Rhetoric and textbook editor.
None after guidance. (It is actually optional.) Whew! That English degree was worth something!
When you are making a "list" you do not need a comma before the "and" in front of the last item...soooooooo, no comma after guidance. If it were me, I would put a comma before and after Mom because the word Mom is inserted into a phrase that is complete without it. Your designs are beautiful!!
You are right but I can't stand no series comma. In some instances without it causes some humorous intrepretations
Good morning from down-under Vicki. I wouldn't put the comma after thank you, but leave the one after time and remove the one after guidance! It is optional according to rules about commas. Love Chris
Like other's have said, remove the one you placed after "you" but I like the Oxford Comma used . Many do not use it -- so you might want to make it stitch last??
The comma before a conjunction is called the Oxford or Serial Comma. It is considered optional.
Very pretty design. Remove the comma after 'you'. The one after 'guidance' is optional.
Vicky, i would only remove the comma after "you" and after "guidance", the comma after time i would leave there. Its a very pretty design, thank you very much.
Hugs,
Gabi
I think... it doesn't need the comma (,) if you are using the word and after it..... I'm not sure, but that's how I would do it. Mechille :)
Very nice design.
