Great work. The bigger ,the better in my opinion especially if your husband steals all the bedding & you wake up freezing in the middle of the night.Amazing effort ,glad I'm not sewing it together ,especially sewing on the back when all the squares are sewn together.
Yes go a bit larger. I noticed the squares are not sewn together yet so you will lose some width and length when you do that.
What you have done so far looks fantastic.
Wow, woman! Where do you find the time?! I'm lucky if I can crank out one project a week and you seem to do 12 a day! incredible! I love this quilt and I agree it should be a little bigger -- or get a smaller bed LOL! Hugs* Deb
Beautiful work but it is not easy to quilt so many square. Thank you for sharing and amitiés de France.
Coming right along, Carolyn...I'm with Chris...I think it should at least cover the mattress on all sides...or possibly a bit more than just cover the mattress...
This is a very cheerful quilt! Hoping to see your finished results.
Looking good, am really curious to see the finish quilt. it really went quite fast, if you consider you have been doing other stuffs. thanks for sharing.
WOW it is going to be just as awesome as we all knew it would be. Will there be purple strips to border around all the blocks. ;-)
Is this for you or do you have someone in mind who will receive it?
It is for my big bed ***where both sides come up or down etc.
I have a hard time finding sheets for it in Canada as i need to buy single xL one set for both side .The cheapest i food is $39. bucks a side:(:(hugs
I'm with Chris. I like to have my sides covered when in bed. After all the quilt is meant to cover people not just the bed top. :-)
Well done , I have trouble doing a baby sized one.
I wrote a whole piece about this last night, but musn't have hit submit. I made a queen size quilt for my bed and I wish I had elongated the length and also widened it - as it only just sits on top without hanging over and I do so like to see the quilt at least extended to the bottom of the mattress. I know this would mean more work for you Carolyn, but I think it will look much better. Also it gives you warmth when in bed when one turns over and hogs all the bed clothes he he he! It's coming along beautifully, love Chris
Thanks Chris i got 5 made already i wanted to get it done before my machines goes into the shop .It is turning black again when i wind a bobbin Weirdddddddd and some other times just for nothing lol.he fixed it once but that didn't last but a week ***Thanks
What work. It will be a beautiful patchwork. With borders, it will not have the sufficient size ?
Good luck to finish.
Coming together very nicely. Going to be pretty once it is finished. Thank you for sharing. Happy Stitching!!!
wonderful job & your right on about the additional blocks! ~hugs~
Holy cow, Carolyn, I don't know where you find room to stitch on these big quilts.....this is so pretty and colorful.....
Busy Busy..... this quilt is coming right along Carolyn. I also think the extras rolls would be a good idea. You have put a lot of work into this quilt. It will be beautiful when you are finished. Keep up the good work, almost finished and rest your neck. Mechille :)
