this is very creative & such a good idea too, thanks for sharing it ~hugs~
My daughter has a naughty door that needs a door stop and if I told her to use a brick , she would give me an evil eye. This may be a solution!! Kay
Can't wait to try one for myself, what a great idea! Love the design and colours!
Nice job!. This kind of "doorstop" has been used in the South for generations/Lillian
Well done and thanks for sharing abt batting between fabric and brick.
What a terrific way to use some of our smaller designs and make something functional at the same time......
Now, aren't you the smart one! Your design looks so welcoming too..... I think I would carry it by the ribbon, if it was stitched on, not glued. The weight of the brick may make the ribbon pop loose and we sure don't want you to break a foot....Toogie
I'm not trying to sound morbid, but I did the same thing with my Dad's ashes. I embroidered an American flag and his name on dark blue fabric.
Dad was a big fan of the embroidered gifts I made for him.
We buried my son's ashes, so I made a small quilt for the ashes. It was made of his pajamas, and his favorite fabrics for his quilt. He was disabled and 26 years old. I'd put a photo here but it won't let me. Not morbid, just loving and personalized
You have made quite a fancy door stop, like the design you have chosen. Original and looks great, well done. Sandra.
Looks great! I haven't seen the brick kind before either. I've made bags as doorstops though.
Very nice design. Good idea using a brick. Much prettier than a shoe.
That's a wonderful idea. Love the design and your work. Very well done!
