Cuties, I am laughing and you can too. He suppose to be a memory bear, but I'm not sure, if you can even call this one a koala. -lol- That may be an insult to koalas!

If any of you care to try one, the bear at the link is really cute. I could not get the wrinkles out of this ones face ....can't get them out of mine either-lol-....they weren't there until I turned him and began to stuff him..... she doesn't show the placement of the eyes or nose, though.
Let me see yours, if you make one. I made this out of the sleeve, off an old knit hoodie/jacket. A re-cycle project.-Toogie

Toogie, I loved it.
And last Saturday, while in Norway, I helped my daughter with her sewing class for her daughter and 3 friends, all 7 years old. It was the third lesson and Esther had planned pincushions, a cuddle toy would be the next one. But having seen your teddy I downloaded the pattern and we had them make these. Great success! Thank you for the inspiration!
Here's pictures of my GD closing the opening after stuffing hers. Sorry they turned sideways, but when you click on them they turn the right way up.
The girls needed something under the pedals to be able to reach them, hence the planks :)

I love your photos of the new seamstress! She will succeed in becoming one, with the look of concentration, on her beautiful little face. I want Nora to learn, but she's still a little too young to realize the danger, of the machine needle.
I hope the girls all enjoyed making their new pals. Are they made of cotton and did they use the iron on interfacing? I think it made them quiet stiff, but then I used iron on stabilizer, because I was out of the other.
Thank you so much for the photos and happy sewing to the young ones!-Toogie

ps I wanted to add, they look like they did a good job. That was a lot of curves and pivot to make.

A couple did not quite finish them, had to fill the body, arms and legs were done. One mom sent a video an hour later of her daughter showing the finished one. They all were so very proud of themselves.
They used cotton, without interfacing as it was not stretchy. The curves were a bit difficult but thanks to low speed and a few stops and turns they did an amazing job given they only had stitched straight lines so far.
The "video"mum added in the email that her daughter had said: Mom, you can sew, but Ruth's granny can sew very very well. :)

Well Gussy boy, as Nora calls him, is just starting to grasp things so he took it home with him. (His Dad said it reminds him of a rat, without a long tail!)

A child won't care about his wrinkles and 'beaky' nose! Thanks Chris for looking over my stabilizing imperfections. I used a Deco Bond I had instead of the iron on interfacing suggested in the link.

Yes she will if she finds him! Sandra she just got a few dress up/ costumes from a friend of mine. She is a purple girl, so she'll fit right in here on Cute. Anyway, one was a Tinkerbell dress and one was purple. Sorry, I'm not up on characters dress. Anyway, I had to take a few darts, here and there but she wore it home! The Tink one was cute but she liked the purple. I figured mom would be upset 'cause more to pick up- Mom said she'd rather her have dress up clothes than get into her good clothes.

I just love recycling. This bear turned out so cute even with the wrinkles. Maybe a project to do for my great grand daughter.

I want to see how yours turns out but don't use Deco Bond like I did here. I should have waited until I had interfacing

So, he's a memory bear and she forgot some things in the instructions? He looks quite huggable. Good up-cycle.

If I can keep Miss Nora from spying him, he may go to the Christmas box. She wants everything I make-lol- If I can remember to go to the thrift shop tomorrow, I may try to get a pretty knit shirt and try another one. They are only open on Wednesdays and I would have to get my caregiver to go too,so..........
